In early 2016, Lance Andrews and his wife, Mary, took a day trip to Montague County with friends. They fell in love with the area immediately and became property owners by July of that same year. They are now full-time residents, living just over two miles north of the county courthouse.
Growing up in a small town about 50 miles east of the DFW metroplex, Lance developed a deep love and respect for the outdoors. A graduate of Quinlan-Ford High School, he was active in FFA, exhibited livestock, and gained hands-on experience working on horse and cattle ranches throughout Hunt, Kaufman, and Hopkins counties. After graduation, he moved to Sulphur Springs, Texas, where he spent a year working on a dairy and beef operation—an experience that solidified his lifelong dream of one day owning his own tract of land.
Lance later moved to the DFW metroplex, where he began a rewarding 45-year career with Lone Star Gas/Atmos Energy. Starting as a construction worker, he rose through the ranks to retire as Vice President of Operations. This long career provided him with many professional and personal milestones, including earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, meeting his wife, Mary, and ultimately fulfilling his dream of land ownership.
Several years prior to retirement, Lance set his sights on a new chapter: becoming a real estate agent. He genuinely enjoys meeting new people and spending time exploring the beautiful landscapes of Montague and the surrounding counties.
